How do I book a session?

Accepted Answer

Inquire on the Experience page, or call (586) 500-5232. There is no auto-booking. We reply within one business day to confirm the date, talk through the session, and send the agreement with the 50% retainer invoice. A date is not held until that retainer is paid.

Question 2

Is a retainer required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your date and time. The remaining balance is due prior to receiving access to your full-resolution digital gallery.

Question 3

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

Book when the date is real. Weddings and elopements: earlier is better. Pet portrait and event sessions can often be scheduled within a few weeks. The calendar is kept intentionally light so each session is fully attended.

Do you travel outside the service area?

Accepted Answer

Home base is New Baltimore / Anchor Bay. The corridor is Anchor Bay & Macomb; St. Clair River & Blue Water; Southern Thumb; Northern Oakland & Lapeer. Farther by arrangement. Travel fees apply outside that corridor — include the town on the inquiry.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Direct overhead sun between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. creates harsh shadows — we will reschedule if needed. For outdoor sessions, we monitor the forecast together and reschedule if conditions make the session unsafe or unusable. Rain calls are made the morning of.

How long does a session last?

Pets: Essential up to 60 minutes; Heritage 60–75 minutes. Events: 2, 4, or 8 hours. Weddings: 4, 6, or 8 hours. Elopements: 2 hours or 3–4 hours. Vow renewals: 2 hours or 3–4 hours. Commercial space: 1.5 or 3 hours. Exact timing is confirmed when we book. Starting ranges live on /investment.

Can I bring multiple pets?

Yes. Tell us how many when you inquire so we can use the hour well. Same session.

Question 8

Do you work with nervous or reactive animals?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Sessions move at the animal's pace. I do not rush or force poses. If your pet needs breaks, we take them. The goal is a relaxed animal — that is what produces the best images.

Question 9

How long until I receive my images?

Accepted Answer

Turnaround depends on session type. Pet Heirloom Portrait Essential packages: 7–10 business days. Heritage packages: priority 5-day turnaround. Wedding galleries: 3–4 weeks. Elopements, private events, and personal commissions: 5–10 business days depending on session scope. Commercial events and spaces: 5–7 business days. Real estate HDR: 24–48 hours. Rush delivery is available for an additional 30% of the session fee.

How many images will I receive?

Accepted Answer

Pets: Essential 10 hand-edited files; Heritage 16–20. Events: Starter 80–100; Standard 160–200; Professional 280–350. Weddings: Essentials 160–200; Signature 240–320; Premier 320–420. Elopements: Intimate 80–110; Signature 140–200. Vow renewals: Intimate 70–90; Celebration 120–160. Commercial space: Base 15–20 exteriors; Premium 35–40. Real estate listings are scoped per property. Starting counts live on /investment. Every project is quoted.

Question 11

Do you provide RAW files?

No. RAW files are not delivered. The edited images are the finished work.

Question 12

Can I request specific edits or a different style?

Accepted Answer

The look is decided at prep. Commercial work is delivered in True Color by default unless a specific treatment is requested in your brief.

Question 13

How long are my images stored in the gallery?

Accepted Answer

Final images are stored in your private Pixieset gallery for 60 days after delivery. Download and back up your files promptly — Atelier Lens LLC is not responsible for file loss after the 60-day storage window.

Question 14

What rights do I have to my images?

Accepted Answer

Personal commission sessions (pet portraits, elopements, weddings, private events) include a full personal print release — social media, personal prints, gifts, and family sharing. Commercial use of personal session images requires a separate written licensing agreement. Commercial session packages include a commercial use license for internal and external marketing, social media, press, and advertising. Broadcast or resale rights require a separate agreement.

Are prints included in my package?

No. Digital files are included in every session. Prints, wall pieces, and albums are optional add-ons ordered through your private gallery after delivery — no obligation or deadline.

Question 16

What print products are available?

Accepted Answer

Archival lustre, fine art matte, gallery-wrapped canvas, aluminum metal, and framed prints are available through your gallery. Lab pricing applies — there is no studio markup.

Question 17

How do albums work?

Accepted Answer

Albums are available after delivery. You choose the cover, paper, and sequence through your gallery at your own pace. Nothing prints until you approve it. Price depends on size, page count, and cover material.

Do you photograph corporate events?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Commercial events (corporate, markets, galas, public gatherings) include a commercial use license. Private parties and family celebrations are a personal commission with a personal print release, not a commercial license. Commercial quotes: /commercial. Private events: /private-events.

Do you offer real estate photography?

Yes — HDR real estate photography and commercial space photography are available throughout the service area, with standard 24–48 hour turnaround. See the Commercial Media section for details.

Can I license images for advertising or commercial use?

Commercial session packages include a commercial use license for internal and external marketing, social media, press, and advertising. Personal session images are licensed for personal use only. Broadcast or resale rights, and commercial use of personal session images, require a separate written agreement.

Where can I find pricing?

Full tables are on /investment. Starting ranges: pets $450 and $750; events from $395; elopements from $950; vow renewals from $795; weddings from $2,495; real estate HDR from $195; commercial space from $450. Every project is quoted.

Do you offer payment plans?

The standard structure is a 50% non-refundable retainer at booking with the balance due before gallery delivery. Other arrangements can be discussed for larger bookings — reach out through the inquiry form.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

The 50% non-refundable retainer is kept. If you need to reschedule, every reasonable effort will be made to find a new date. Refunds beyond the non-refundable retainer are offered at our discretion and are not guaranteed. If Atelier Lens LLC must cancel, we will work to find a suitable new date or connect you with another qualified photographer.
